• All Ballet students must have ballet shoes, pink or skin tone for ladies, black for gentlemen. They may be canvas or leather.

  • All Ballet students must have their hair in a neat ballet bun. (See this video) No "bun-makers".

  • All Non-Ballet class students must have their hair neatly pulled back out of their faces.

  • No jewelry. With the exception of small stud earrings.

  • No holes in tights. Please repair any big holes with a needle and thread.

  • Dance will make your teenager work up a sweat! All students MUST wear deodorant. Sometimes we forget, the studio will have emergency natural deodorant on hand.

  • No undergarments under uniforms. Ballet tights are designed to be worn without underwear. Sports bras may be worn with special permission from the director. All men must wear a dance belt.

  • Warm ups may be worn in the hallways and before and after class. No warm ups once class starts.

Apprentices, Understudies, and Company members may wear any color leotard to class.  Tights must be pink or skin tone without holes.  No jewelry may be worn, with the exception of small earrings.  A Company Leotard will be chosen before the beginning of each year.  The Company Leotard will be worn at designated times.  For performances all dancers will wear Ballet Pink, Capezio Transition Tights, No Seam.

Advanced Ballet

Ballet: Black convertible tights, a fitted white short-sleeved shirt, and black ballet shoes.

All other classes: any color convertible tights or tight fitting dance shorts, any color fitted t-shirt or tank top

*Gentlemen must ALWAYS wear a dance belt.

Boys

PBT, Stretch & Strength

Any color leotard, and pink or skin tone convertible tights.  No warm-ups.

Any color leotard, pink or skin tone.  Dancers may wear tight shorts. 

Modern: bare feet

Lyrical: ballet slippers

Modern

Any comfortable clothing that can be moved around in. Ballet shoes or socks are fine!
